Let me start by saying that if I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would!!
There are many things that make living in the East Village awesome, and the restaurants are at the top of the list. Yoshi Sushi, Gandhi, Thailand Cafe, Ruben’s Empanadas, the Belgian pomme frites place across from Tompkins Square Park — I am well-fed, and I am grateful for it. But suddenly I have an addiction that surpasses them all, and its name is Stogo.
One of the biggest reasons going vegan has been so hard for me is ice cream. Sure, Tofutti Cuties are good, but most other frozen vegan desserts leave a lot to be desired. However, this past week I stumbled into Stogo, and one of my dreams came true.

If heaven was on earth, and full of the most delicious vegan ice cream, it would be Stogo.
I am a vegan ice cream connoisseur (see profile picture, please). It is my lifes duty to eat my way through life one scoop at a time. I intend to carry this task out at Stogo.
Enough cheesy anecdotes. This place is just awesome. Sorry Lula’s, but this place puts you to SHAME. After a trip from San Francisco, I wished that Maggie Mudds would open a location in NYC. I no longer need you Maggie, I’m sorry.

Besides being the East Villages celeb hang out, the Vegan Diary Free Ice Cream is AMAZING! Vegan or NOT you must come in and try it!
Aesthetically I must say, its very cute, and they are currently featuring amazing products like BABYCAKES baked goods and are rumored to be possibly featuring other NYC Vegan bakery goods.
They will be getting soft serve and they already have 19 delicious flavors in hard ice cream! Almost all the ice cream is soy based, except two flavors that are made with coconut cream. They also have amazing vegan topping for the ice cream.

Dairy Queen (menupages.com review)
I am not, not have I ever wanted to be Vegan. I love dairy, cheese and especially Ice Cream. But then I tried Stogo and I can confidently say that if I never have dairy ice cream again, I will be okay with that.
All of their flavors are amazing and while I prefer the coconut milk based options they are all great. Amazing selection and highly recommended!
